Our History
The scene of providing public water service in North Lebanon began with the establishment of the Tripoli Water Authority in the late 1950s, followed by the establishment of seven water authorities in the rest of the districts of the North Lebanon Governorate, namely (Koura, Dinniyeh/Minnieh, Akkar, Qobayat, Zgharta/Ehden, Bsharri, Batroun) These eight departments continued to carry out their duties until 2/15/2002, when they became operating under the authority of the Board of Directors of the North Lebanon Water Corporation, appointed according to Decree 7420/2002, and the situation continued in this manner until 10/3/2005, when these departments were suspended. The work and its integration constitute a totality in the North Lebanon Water Corporation, which began its work within its new structure as of the aforementioned date.
