Under the patronage and presence of the Minister of Energy and Water, the North Lebanon Water Establishment inaugurated two water pumping stations in Chekka and Dar Baachtar, in partnership with @lafranceauliban, @afd_france, @uniceflebanon, and @euinlebanon.
The project included the rehabilitation of the Chekka pumping station and the installation of four new pumps. Additionally, the Dar Baachtar station was equipped with solar power, providing over 18,000 citizens with access to clean, reliable, and sustainable water.
By harnessing solar energy, dependence on costly fuel is reduced and greenhouse gas emissions decrease, enhancing energy independence in our water systems.
The North Lebanon Water Establishment extends its sincere thanks to all the entities that contributed to providing safe and sustainable water to many families — a fundamental human right and a cornerstone of public health and human dignity!
