Under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Energy and Water, Mr. Joe Saddi, the water well in Al-Bireh village was officially inaugurated. This vital development project aims to strengthen water resources and improve water services for the residents of the village and surrounding areas, with the support and contribution of the International Volunteer Organization (AVSI).
The inauguration ceremony was attended by His Excellency MP Mohammad Sleiman; the Chairman of the Board and Director General of the North Lebanon Water Establishment (NLWE), Mr. Khaled Barakat Obeid; the Mayor of Al-Bireh, Mr. Mohammad Ahmad Merab; the Head of the Qobayat Water Department, Mr. Nazir Merab; as well as several local municipal, educational, and religious dignitaries.
The North Lebanon Water Establishment extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the International Volunteer Organization (AVSI) and to everyone who contributed to the successful completion of this vital project. The Establishment also expresses its gratitude to the Mayor and members of Al-Bireh Municipality, as well as the Scouts of Giving – Al-Bireh Troop, for their warm welcome and hospitality.
The Establishment reaffirms the importance of continued partnership and cooperation among public institutions, municipalities, international organizations, and local stakeholders to implement sustainable water and development projects and enhance the services provided to citizens throughout North Lebanon and Akkar.
